Why Do I Want to Be An English Teacher?

Though I have not decided whether to be an English teacher and work at high-school, I want to be an English teacher and I have two reasons why I started wanting to be.

First, one of the reasons is I have been interested in English and foreign people.
I think such a feeling that I want to be a English teacher come from two experiences. When I was a junior high school student and I took an English test for the first time, because I studied very hard and also the exam was very easy, I did very well. Moreover my parents admired my work exaggeratedly at that time, and I was so delighted. That is why I got to be interested in English.
Then, I will tell you the other experience. When I was a high- school student, I took an English conversation class. There I met a nice American teacher. He was always smiling, funny and kind to all students.
When I started speaking in English with him and other students in his class, I was embarrassed because my way to speak English is like a child’s way. I mean I could not tell most things in English as I could do in Japanese, but he always tried making his class funny and students happy. Then I started wanting to talk with him more and to be energetic for English.

Second, though the reason why I started teaching students was that I wanted to know teachers’ feeling and also many friends worked at crime schools, I have started enjoying teaching gradually while teaching English high-school students. When I have taught in my class, I was really interested about how the teacher’s job is and how teacher feel. But, the work was not so easy as I expected and it is very difficult to have good relationship among teachers and students, also to consider how much homework I should give them and how difficult works are for students etc.
Thus, teacher’s jobs are very difficult and important work. That is why I want to be an English teacher and cannot decide to be immediately.
